Research:
Punit Arora, a Chartered Financial Analyst and formerly a high-ranking officer in the Indian Administration (1997-2006), brings 12 years of professional experience to the academic research. He researches various aspects of business sustainability: economic, environment, stakeholders, government, and social. His dissertation includes three studies on what makes firms vulnerable to failure and what gives them a better chance at successful reemergence from bankruptcy.
His professional recognitions from the Indian Government include Esprit de Corps Medal (1997), Special Duty Medals (2002, 2003), Internal Security Service Medal (2004), and Election Commission Commendation (2005), and from Harvard University an invitational membership to its Global Network of Government Innovators (2008). He is also a consultant on strategic management for the United Nations, World Bank, and Swedish International Development Agency.
