MS in Media Management

Two of Syracuse University’s award winning schools, the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Whitman School of Management have teamed up to offer the MS in Media Management program, an intense, year-long education in the dual fields of management and communications. Media Management students receive the analytical skills necessary to be a part of the decision making process in the communications industry and are hired into management positions in television, radio, newspaper, magazine, public relations, and advertising. Students apply and are admitted to this program through the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

The program is open to recent graduates (with some internship or work experience preferred) and experienced media professionals. The curriculum includes communications courses in law, research, theory, and methods and business courses in survey managerial finance, information systems, and financial accounting, and a variety of electives to help customize the degree to the student’s standards.
