Investment Club

  • The Syracuse University Investment Club in the Whitman School is open to all SU students.
  • The Investment Club invests with real money in the financial markets with a current portfolio value of around $100,000+ through Wachovia.
  • A one-time fee of $30 is good for a four-year membership and helps pays for pizza for every meeting.
  • Meetings take place in the Whitman School of Management every Tuesday night either in the Ballentine Investment Center or Room 103
  • We have pizza in the Whitman School of Management Grand Hall from 6:45 p.m. – 7 p.m. followed by the meeting from 7- 8 p.m.
  • General meeting outline:
    • Portfolio manager and members discuss recent market news
    • Discussion of news on our portfolio holdings
    • Ideas brought to club on what to sell/buy and where our portfolio needs to go.
    • Formal motions and voting on what trades to make.
  • If interested come visit one of our meetings on Tuesdays.
