Couri Hatchery
The Couri Hatchery is a student-centered, low-cost, and supportive business incubator that helps new start-ups get established and develop to the point where they can stand on their own. The Couri Hatchery promotes, stimulates, and supports business development among entrepreneurial students across the SU campus. The Couri Hatchery is named for John Couri '63 BA (A&S), co-founder of Duty Free International and president of the Couri Foundation.
The focus of the Couri Hatchery is to streamline innovative, emerging student ventures. It provides a broad scope of services including cost-effective space and support, prototype production facilities, product realization and development services, and business consultation. The Couri Hatchery provides SU student business owners with real-world experience in business innovation and creation and research and development. The Couri Hatchery stimulates interaction between student entrepreneurs and other SU students, faculty, administrators, and staff. It also offers unique research and development collaborations with local entrepreneurs, capitalizing on their facilities, business management expertise, and technologies to leverage student entrepreneurial success.
