Undergraduate Alumni
1984 - 1997
Patrick Hackett '84 completed a dual major in transportation & distribution management and marketing, and has been an active member of the Franklin Advisory Board for many years. He started his professional career at IBM as a Transportation Analyst. He then worked for Hills Department Stores where he was responsible for carrier contract negotiations, and implementing inbound and outbound freight management systems. He then became a supply chain consultant working for both KPMG Peat Marwick and Deloitte & Touche where he focused on clients in the retail, consumer product and food industries. He left consulting to join Bristol-Myers Squibb where he held various corporate and manufacturing site positions related to transportation, procurement, production planning and inventory management. His current role is Director of International Supply Chain at Bed Bath & Beyond. He is responsible for transportation, freight forwarding, brokerage and customs compliance-related activities for all US, Canadian and Mexican imports and exports supporting 1,000+ Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy BABY and Harmon Face Values Discount Health & Beauty stores.
Frank Britt '88 completed a dual major in marketing and logistics. He joined the operations management practice of Arthur D. Little, becoming our first undergraduate recruited by a consulting firm. For several years, he was a member of Andersen Consulting's strategic services group and senior manager in the consumer products practice. In 1996 he became vice president of marketing and merchandising of Streamline Inc., a new venture in e-commerce. He joined M|C Holdings, a leading global provider of medical education event management solutions for health care professionals, as General Manager of U.S. Operations, and was named President and CEO in 2009.
Doug Brown '88 completed a dual major in finance and managerial statistics. He received his J.D. cum laude from The American University, Washington College of Law. He joined USCO Logistics in 1995 as corporate counsel. In 1999, he was named Director of Legal Services and was promoted to Director of Corporate Operations and Legal Affairs in 2002. In November 2003, USCO Logistics promoted Doug to Vice President, Operations Administration, with primary responsibility for real estate activities, major purchasing initiatives and contract and business administration for the company's largest customer. He is also be involved with the coordination and facilitation of business negotiations to ensure organizational resources are aligned to drive growth and profitability.
Dave Bacon '96 completed a major in transportation and distribution management. After graduation, he worked in operations at Nationsway Transport, an LTL common carrier. He left Nationsway to work for a steel manufacturer, doing sales and logistics. He then joined RSA Companies, a midsize IT consulting firm, as a sales and project manager for ERP and CRM implementations. Recently, he started a new division in RSAC professional and delivery services, and is acting as a business development manager for supply chain management. In this role, he helps clients with business-to-business and business-to-consumer e- commerce initiatives.
Jonathan Bohrer '96 majored in transportation and distribution management and held a summer internship with the Hub Group, an intermodal marketing company. He accepted a position as a field transportation manager in the logistics division of GE Global Services.
Leah Karr '97 completed a dual major in transportation and distribution management and marketing. She interned with "K" Line America, an ocean shipping company. She accepted a position as a logistics analyst with IBM Corporation's North American Distribution Transportation Operations.
1998 - 1999
Harold Bender '98 completed a major in operations management. He held internships with Hytech Industries supporting inventory and operations management in summer '97, Gaylord Brothers performing supplier production analysis in spring '98, and USF Redstar working in all aspects of terminal operations in summer '98. He accepted a position as a business analyst with USF Logistics in Chicago.
Dana Nakaya '98 completed a dual major in transportation and distribution management and marketing. She held an internship with New England Insurance Co., and she was an active member of the Franklin Student Organization. She accepted a position as a supply chain analyst with Nestle USA.
Christina DeMuro '99 completed a major in supply chain management. She held an internship at Gaylord Bros. in the purchasing and materials management department creating a program to assess Y2K readiness among Gaylord's largest suppliers. She accepted a position as a best practices analyst at Circle International Worldwide Headquarters in San Francisco. Circle International is a leader in international air and ocean transportation, customs brokerage and fully integrated supply chain management services.
Matt Madden '99 completed a major in supply chain management. He held internships with Corning Consumer Products Division supporting inventory management in summer '97, Corning Telecommunication Products Division working in forecast and market analysis in summer '98, and as an analyst in Corning Corporate Procurement in summer '99. He accepted a position as a production supervisor with Corning Telecommunication Products Division in their Wilmington, NC facility.
Jennifer Panning '99 completed a dual major in finance and supply chain management. She held internships at Gaylord Brothers in purchasing and materials management, and also at DHL Worldwide. She accepted a position as a stores and systems planner for Europe with Gap International, located in San Francisco.
Cami Teodorescu '99 completed a major in supply chain management. She held an internship with Relyea Brewing in spring '99. She is an international shipping education trainee (a five year program; two years domestic, three years international) with Maersk Sealand Inc., the largest container company in the world. She is currently working in Houston at the customer service resource center.
2000
Mike Hangyas '00 completed a major in supply chain management. After completing a minor in international business he spent 4 years working in Budapest, Hungary in the purchasing department with Schneider Electric. During his studies he passed exams to become CPM through the NAPM. After completing his degree at Syracuse, he joined the supply chain management training program at Nestle USA, beginning with an eight month rotation program focusing on distribution, customer service, transportation and strategic supply chain at various locations throughout the country.
Renee Hanhart '00 completed a dual major in supply chain management and marketing. She accepted a position in Chicago as a member of the supply chain group at The Revere Group, an IT consulting company.
Natalie Martin '00 completed a dual major in supply chain management and marketing. She spent the past summer working in Singapore for Singapore Airlines as a management intern. She then spent her senior year interning in Frito Lay's Traffic Department. She joined DHL Worldwide Express, an international air express courier, as a field service analyst. She will participate in its 18 month operations management development program, which will be based in the New York/New Jersey region.
Edward Stoudt '00 completed a major in supply chain management. He held internships with Berks Products Corp. in accounts payable and dispatching in summer '98 and Coca-Cola Bottling working as a production analyst throughout the year in '99. He joined Maersk Sealand Inc. in terminal operations rotating through assignments at several domestic ports.
Beth Hyer '00 completed a major in supply chain management. She spent two summers with Vector Marketing in various management positions. She joined the Distribution and Sales Program at GE Supply in Cincinnati. This is a two year management training program focusing on warehousing and inside/outside sales.
2001
Dennis Cao '01 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance. He held an internship at Motorola Asia Pacific in Hong Kong in the human resources area during the spring 2000 semester. He accepted a position with United Technologies Corp. in their financial leadership program.
Angela Cheung '01 completed a major in supply chain management, with a minor in IST. She was President of the Franklin Student Club and a member of AST&L. In 2001, she received the Zinsmeister- Yarwood Student Award (student of the year in SCM). She joined the eight-month supply chain management training program at Nestle USA.
Andrew Gedale '01 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance, as well as a second degree from the School of Information Studies. He held an internship at the North American headquarters of BOC Gases in the business planning group. He also spent a summer with Gabelli Asset Management working in the online marketing department. He accepted a position with American Management Systems in the IT consulting area.
Sami Gouneim '01 graduated with a triple major in Supply Chain Management, Marketing and International Relations. He went into the Greek army for two years service in its Supply Division. His responsibilities were in the medical supplies and military clothing warehouses, supplying 6 units in Southern Greece. Transfers included the Greece-Turkey border, the Greece-Bulgaria border, also a NATO position in Kosovo. Honorably discharged in February of 2004 and with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then joined Natfeed, Inc. a VoIP carrier where he led Operations in Athens, Greece for about one year. Today he works for DHL in Athens.
Saskia Kampman ’01 completed a major in supply chain management. She held an internship with the U.S. Commercial Service at the United States Embassy in Lima, Peru. She accepted a position working for DHL Worldwide Express, an international air express courier, as a field service analyst. She will participate in its 18 month operations management development program, which is based in the New York/New Jersey region.
Robert Lorusso '01 completed a major in supply chain management, with a minor in construction management from SUNY ESF. He accepted a position with Wal-Mart in their 18 month management training program, beginning in East Syracuse.
Melissa Piazza ’01 completed a major in supply chain management and marketing. She held internships with Avon products and Tri Arch beverage gaining experience in marketing and logistics. She accepted a position with Ferguson Enterprises, and will participate in their management training program.
Brian Zimmer '01 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. In 2000, he interned with Gaylord Brothers in the area of purchasing and materials management. He accepted a position as an inventory deployment planner at Rich Products in Buffalo, NY.
2002-2004
Bedii Atasagun '02 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. He interned in the summer of 2002 at Coca-Cola Enterprises in the packaging and promotion department in Atlanta GA. He accepted a position with USF Logistics as a dock supervisor.
Matthew Brill '04 completed a major in supply chain management. After graduation, Matthew accepted a position with Transfreight in their Integrated Services Facility in Dayton, OH. Matthew's role will be in Project Support. Responsibilities will include Dock Operations, Fleet Management, and coordinating the move to a new Warehouse Facility.
Deborah Chadwick ’02 completed a double major in supply chain management and entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises. She held an internship with Lockheed Martin in Liverpool, NY in fall 2002, and she joined Lockheed after her graduation in December 2002. She is in the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP), which is a management-training program with four six-month rotations at two to four different sites. Her first rotation is in Production Control for ground-based radar.
Michael Kolacia ’02 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance. As an undergraduate he served as VP of Communications for the Franklin Student Group, and represented Syracuse University at the 2002 Operation Stimulus convention in Denver, CO. He accepted an operations trainee position with Coach USA, the largest provider of motorcoach services in North America. Mr. Kolacia's job responsibilities involve scheduling, capacity utilization analysis, location selection, business development, human resources, and finance.
Jennifer Kranzel '02 completed a major in supply chain management. She was the Vice President of Events and Promotions in the Franklin Student Club and worked at the Carrier Dome as Manager of Business Administration and Training. In summer of 2001 she interned with North Carolina Amateur Sports. She accepted a position with Aldi Foods as a district manager starting July 2002. After eleven months of training, she will be responsible for four to six stores within her region under the Tully Division.
Bryce Murphy '02 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance. He interned in fall 2001 and spring 2002 at Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems in Syracuse, NY. He accepted a position with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Atlanta, GA within the global sustainment function of the F-22A Program. As of August of 2004, he is working as a supply chain manager responsible for field support capabilities. He is also a middle school lacrosse coach in Atlanta.
Gabriel Quattrocchi '02 completed a major in supply chain management. He interned in the summer of 2001 at Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems in Syracuse, NY. He continued the internship throughout his senior year and accepted a position with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Atlanta, GA within the supply support department of the FA-22 Program.
Darwin Salicrup '02 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing, with a minor in psychology. He was the President of the Franklin Student Group, member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), and active participant in the Council of Logistics Management (CLM) and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). He received the Brethen Scholarship and the Zinsmeister - Yarwood Student Award in 2001 and 2002, respectively. He interned within the wholesale department at Verizon Communications performing the role of marketing/sales coordinator. He also interned at the purchasing department at Syracuse University. He accepted a position with General Mills/Pillsbury to do distribution management for their Yoplait – Colombo yogurt division in Southern California.
Michelle Turco '02 completed a major in supply chain management. She interned with a local management firm throughout her senior year at Bayberry Management Offices. Michelle accepted the field service analyst position with DHL Worldwide Express. She will be conducting supply chain consulting work at corporate headquarters with the firm after the 18-month training program is completed in New York City.
Fanny Cheung '03 completed majors in supply chain management, finance and marketing. She participated in the distribution and sales program for General Electric Supply with rotations in sales, operations and sourcing and inventory. Fanny rolled off the program in summer of 2005 and has accepted a position as Sourcing and Inventory leader.
Chris Laidley '04 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. He held an internship with Lockheed Martin in Liverpool, NY in fall 2003. He joined the Logistics Rotational program at Staples after graduating in May 2004. This is a 24 month program with rotation through a variety of logistics related positions. His first rotation was in a fulfillment center located in Southern California. As of fall 2005, he is working in project management at corporate headquarters in Framingham, MA.
2007
Jessica Altman '07 completed a dual major in supply chain management and marketing. After graduating from the Whitman School of Management, she will be working for Elizabeth Arden as an Inventory and Sourcing Coordinator. Her job responsibilities include providing support to Material Planners with the execution of the Master Schedule for full brand planning.
Allison Cohen, '07 completed her undergraduate degree in both supply chain management and marketing. Her past experience includes internships with Syracuse University's ExportNY program, Merck & Co., Inc., and Strategic Computer Solutions. Allison gained leadership experience as a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. Her post-graduation plans include traveling to Europe before beginning her career as an Operations Team Associate with Johnson & Johnson.
Rebecca Fowler '07 completed a double major in supply chain management and entrepreneurship. The summer before senior year she interned with Xerox Corp. After graduating from the Whitman School of Management, she will be working for Xerox as a business analyst in the North American spares parts fulfillment department. Her job responsibilities include reporting on DC activity for the US and participating in team projects to reduce costs in the supply chain network.
Allison Hunter '07 completed her undergraduate degree with a dual major in supply chain management and entrepreneurship. Throughout her four years she interned at Dealer Tire LLC in Cleveland, Ohio as well as Engi Lab & Safe in Florence, Italy. Her summer going into senior year she interned with Sears Holdings as a logistics intern. Allison just accepted a job with Sears Holdings in their Logistics Management Training program and is headed to their distribution center in Columbus, Ohio.
Ugochi Igbokwe '07 completed her concentrations in marketing, supply chain management and pre law. During her second year, she worked as a summer Local Sales Manager for University Directories. For her third year she worked as a Marketing Intern with H.H Brown. Upon graduating from the Whitman School of Management Ms. Igbokwe will enter the J.D. program at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC specializing in Corporate and Transnational law.
Tyler Junco '07 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During the third year of his study, he worked as an intern for the Syracuse Chiefs. After graduating from the undergraduate program, he accepted a full time position as a Director of Marketing for the New Britain Rock Cats, the Double-A team for the Minnesota Twins. His job responsibilities include overseeing marketing and promotional activities for the team.
Michael Krebs '07 completed a double major in supply chain management and entrepreneurship & emerging enterprises with a minor in information studies and technology. During the second year of his study, he worked as an intern with the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services, and worked as an intern for the Target Corporation during his third year. After graduating from the Bachelor program, he accepted a full time position in the General Electric Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP).
Kirk Lane '07 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing management. During his third year of study he interned with Avery Dennison Corp. and in his fourth year with Mohawk Global Logistics. After graduation, he accepted a position in United Technologies' Operations Leadership Program in Hartford, CT.
Alex Medler '07 completed his undergraduate degree with a double major in finance and supply chain management. Throughout his college career, he has had significant industry experience through various internships. In summer of 2005 he worked on the trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange in NYC in the Heating Oil pits. The following summer he worked for Nexen Petroleum in Dallas, Texas as an intern in the Acquisition Department, focusing on acquiring oil and gas properties in the Gulf of Mexico. Alex accepted a job offer from Tristone Capital in February and will be working for them in their downtown Houston office.
Brittney Papke '07 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. She was the President of the Franklin Student Group for Supply Chain Management and an active member of the Syracuse University Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Upon graduation, Brittney accepted a full time position with Linens ‘N Things at their corporate headquarters in Clifton, NJ as a Supply Chain Analyst. She enrolled in the MBA program at Virginia Tech in September 2008 and will graduate in May 2010. She accepted a position in logistics with M.C. Dean, Inc, one of the nation's premier engineering and integration providers for complex electrical, electronic, mass notification, and telecommunication systems.
Jillian Ring '07 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During the Summer of 2006, she was an Planning and Inventory Management intern at the Staples Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts. During completion of her undergraduate degree, Jillian accepted a full time position with Staples as an Inventory Analyst for the Merchandising division at the Corporate Headquarters, beginning in June of 2007. Her job responsibilities include managing and maintaining purchase orders and vendor relations.
Danielle Smolinsky '07 completed a double major in marketing and supply chain management. She completed internships during third year at 3M and summer before year four at Raytheon. She accepted a full-time position with Raytheon in the Business Development office, and her title will be Marketing Research/Planning Analyst. Here responsibilities will mainly include competitive intelligence work.
2008
David Baletsa '08 completed a major in supply chain management. During the summer of 2007, he was a Materials Management intern at Pratt & Whitney's Small Hardware Parts Center in Middletown, Connecticut. During the completion of his undergraduate degree, he accepted a full-time position with Pratt & Whitney in their Materials Operations Leadership Program starting in June of 2008. This two year program includes four six month job rotations within Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Steve Bronstein '08 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing management. He completed two simultaneous internships at the Universal Music Group and at a start-up pharmaceutical company during the summer of 2007 in New York City. Steve accepted a full-time position with Accenture as a consulting analyst and will be based in Philadelphia, PA. His job responsibilities will include technology and supply chain consulting for some of the world's largest corporations.
Jonathan Huette '08 completed his degree as a major in supply chain management. During the spring semester of 2007, he worked as a Distribution Co-op at Johnson & Johnson in Skillman, New Jersey. Following this, he held a summer internship with Pfizer at the Research & Development HQ in Groton, Connecticut. Jonathan accepted a full time position with Sears Holdings Corporation as an Inventory Analyst at the Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, beginning in July of 2008.
Keith Jenkins '08 completed a triple-major in supply chain management, marketing, and retail and consumer studies. He spent the summer of 2007 as an Executive Management Intern for Bloomingdale's in New York City. Accepting a position with Teach for America - in Memphis, Tennessee, Keith will be teaching History and Geography at the secondary education level. He is also enrolled at the University of Memphis working towards his masters in education.
Lisa Mitus '08 completed a dual major in marketing and supply chain management. She recently accepted a full-time position with Gorton's Seafood as a Supply Chain Associate. Her rotational program will begin in July 2008 in Purchasing.
Shuai Pu '08 completed a triple major in accounting (CPA track), finance, and supply chain management along with a minor in economics. He completed a year-long co-op internship at National Grid in the Replenishment Support Group within the Materials Management Department from summer 2007 through graduation in 2008. He accepted a full time position with Ernst & Young LLP in New York City to work in their Financial Services - Asset Management Group.
Tabitha Rotunno '08, a native of Syracuse, completed a major in supply chain management. She held an internship with Magna Powertrain during the summer of 2007 in the purchasing department. Upon graduation, she will be moving to Rochester to work full time for Gleason Corporation in their Global Supply Chain department.
Jessica Sherr '08 completed a triple major in marketing, retail management and supply chain management. She completed an internship her junior year while studying abroad in London, for Relative PR a fashion PR company. She also completed a summer internship before her senior year with Searle a retailer in NYC. Jessica accepted an offer with Ross Stores, as a location planning analyst. Her main responsibilities will include analyzing store performance and assisting buyers with budgets.
Eric Wadsworth '08 completed a double major in finance and supply chain management. He had relevant work experience through a logistics internship at Sears Holding Corporation as well as manufacturing experience with Kinetic Concepts Inc. He has accepted a full-time position in the Supply Chain Leadership Rotational Program with Danaher Corporation and the Motion division. The rotational program will allow him to experience different areas of supply chain while gaining a better understanding of the company at the same time.
Jacqueline Wittlin '08 completed a double major in entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises and supply chain management with a minor in Policy Studies. She completed internships during her senior year at the Girl Scout Council of Central New York and was a retail management intern for Sears Holdings Corporation during summer 2007. After graduation, she intends to travel, and decide if she wants full-time employment or to attend Law School.
2009
Matthew Agnello '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises. During the spring of 2008 he interned with Lontreprise in Hong Kong in logistics software development. During the summer of 2008, he worked as an intern at Pratt & Whitney in their materials management division. Matt was awarded the Zinsmeister Award of the Salzberg Program in fall 2008, and has accepted a full-time position in the Operations Leadership Development Program with BAE Systems in Boston.
Kevin Carroll '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing management. During the summer of 2008 he interned at Raytheon Technical Services Company in the subcontracting area. He accepted a full-time position in the supply chain department at Raytheon in Burlington Massachusetts.
Sean Ellis '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance. He interned with Staples North American Delivery at the company’s Syracuse, NY facility during the summer of 2008. He was a four-year member and, two-time letter winner of SU’s varsity swimming team. Sean accepted a full time position in the two-year logistics rotational program with Staples.
Caryn Espy '09 completed a double major in supply chain and retail management. During the summer of 2006, she interned at Appleseed's, a retailer headquartered in Beverly, Massachusetts. The summer of 2007, she interned at Pratt & Whitney as a MRP controller. While spending spring semester 2008 abroad in Hong Kong, she interned at a third party logistics firm, Cohesion Freight Ltd. During the summer she interned at Macy's Merchandising Group in Product Development in New York City. Caryn received the Zinsmeister Award in her junior year. Additionally, she received the distinctions of Whitman Scholar and Remembrance Scholar in her senior year and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. She has accepted a full-time position with the supply chain group at Unilever in Trumbull, Connecticut.
Nicole Forant '09 completed a triple major in supply chain management, marketing and retail. During the summer of 2008 she interned at Macy’s Merchandising Group in New York City for product development under their Style & Co label. Nicole has accepted a full-time position with Macy’s Merchandising Group as a Product Assistant.
Ryan Kabat '09 completed a major in supply chain management. During the summer of 2006 and the winter of 2007 he interned at ITT Industries as a financial resource administrator in Seneca Falls, NY within their financial resource center. Ryan accepted a full-time position at Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Inc. as an Inventory Control Analyst located at their corporate headquarters in Hawthorne, NY.
Fernando Soberanes Moreno '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing management. During the summer of 2006 he interned with Pestmart, Inc in San Diego, CA. During the summer of 2007 he interned at Ferguson Enterprises in San Diego, CA. The following summer in 2008 he interned at Sears Holdings Corp. in the Inventory Management Department. He accepted a full-time position with Sears Holdings Corporation as an inventory analyst in their corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Kimberly Riggs '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance. During the summer of 2007 she worked as an intern at Pratt and Whitney as an Assistant Materials Analyst. The following summer, she returned to Pratt & Whitney to work in the CAN Module Center as a Shop Planner. In the fall of 2008 Kimberly accepted a full time position with Pratt & Whitney as a MRP Controller in East Hartford, CT.
Alison Schoch '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and finance. During the summer of 2008 she interned at Sears Holdings Corp. in the Inventory Management Department. Alison received the $10,000 Brethen Award, which is given to an outstanding junior majoring in supply chain management. She accepted a full-time position with Sears Holdings Corporation as an inventory analyst in their corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Andrew Solomon '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During the summer of 2007 he interned at Staples in their merchandising group at Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts. During the summer of 2008, he worked as an intern at Accenture in their supply chain practice group in Boston. Andrew accepted a full time position with Accenture as a management consultant analyst in their supply chain practice.
Kevin Thornberry '09 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing management. During the summer of 2008 he interned with DHL as supervisor of dispatching. He accepted a full-time position with Lockheed Martin in the Leadership Development Program in Syracuse.
Becky Wan '09 completed a triple major in marketing, retail management, and supply chain management. She studied abroad in Hong Kong in the spring of 2008, where she interned at an international trading company, K.A.J. Chotirmall Ltd (HK). During the summer of 2008, she also interned at Pratt & Whitney in the materials management program, where she worked at IAE International Aero Engines AG within the spares division for the V2500. She was named a Whitman Scholar for 2009. She was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and served on the Whitman Undergraduate Board. Tim Blonski '10 completed a major in supply chain management and minor in information management and technology. Jorie Didier '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During summer 2008 she interned with the San Francisco Dragons of Major League Lacrosse as a game day operations and marketing intern. During the summer of 2009 she interned at University Directories as a Local Sales Manager in Oregon. She accepted a full-time position with Aldi Inc as a district manager in their South Windsor, CT division.
Carlye Eder '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and accounting. During summer 2009 Carlye interned at Lawrence R McCoy and Co. at their headquarters in Worcester, MA. Ryan Fannon '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During summer 2009 he interned at Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC in Burlington, MA as a supply chain source specialist. Ryan graduated from the Renee Crown University Honors Program where he completed a thesis entitled “Innovation in Academic Institutions: How a Pharmaceutical Company Capitalizes on University Connections in its Board of Directors.” The thesis won Best Capstone Project in the Professional Programs category. He accepted a full time position with Raytheon.
Michael Harney '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. He participated in the annual supply chain case competition in Denver, while also serving as President of the Franklin SCMA. Michael was awarded the $10,000 Brethen Prize during his junior year; the following year he went on to receive the Zinsmeister Award and the CSCMP NYC Roundtable Supply Chain Scholar of the Year award. He attended the annual CSCMP global supply chain conference in Chicago during the fall of 2009. Michael served as a project manager during his internship with Pratt & Whitney in their materials management division. He went on to accept a full-time position with BAE Systems in their Operations Leadership Development Program.
Molly Hope '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During the summer of 2008 she interned at the American Industrial Hygiene Association as a marketing intern. Molly studied abroad in Hong Kong in fall 2009. She commissioned as a 2LT in the U.S. Army and will be stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI where she will be an AG officer with the 65th Military Police Group.
Kimberly Nilles '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing from the Whitman School of Management. She also completed a minor in economics from the Maxwell School of Citizenship. During the summer of 2009 she interned at United Health Services Wilson Hospital in their Materials Management Department. Kimberly accepted a full time position with FedBid, an online marketplace for government procurement, as a Market Specialist in Vienna, Virginia.
Kenny Scher '10 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing management at the Whitman School of Management and a minor in public communications studies from the Newhouse School of Public Communications. During the summer of 2007 he interned at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in their Sales and Marketing Department. The following summer, he held a position as a Supply Chain Intern at Avon Inc., where he worked in the Non-Beauty Supply Chain Department. Holly Tassi '10 completed a dual degree in supply chain management and public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She studied abroad fall 2008 in London and interned with Wild Republic, a global toy company. During summer 2009 she interned at Victaulic, an international manufacturing company, in their global sourcing department at Corporate Headquarters in Easton, PA. During summer 2010 Mary Ellen interned at Pratt & Whitney at their headquarters in East Hartford, CT. She accepted a full time position with Otis Elevator as a Sales Trainee/Quality Supervisor at their Portland, ME Branch.
Tucker Bridgeo '11 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. During the summer of 2010, Tucker interned at the TJX Companies as an allocation analyst in their Corporate Merchandising Training Program. He accepted a full-time position with TJX at their headquarters in Framingham, MA, and will begin in June.
Millie Fung '11 completed a double major in supply chain management and entrepreneurship with a minor in psychology. During summer 2010, Millie interned at Ross Stores in their buying/planning office in New York City. She then accepted a summer internship with Tiffany & Co. in their product development management department and will be starting her full-time position at Macy's buying/planning department in September 2011 in New York City.

Brad Johnson '11 completed a triple major in supply chain management, finance and accounting. During the summer of 2009, he interned with Fromm International in Mt. Prospect, IL as a Business/Financial Analyst. The following summer, he interned at Walgreen Co. in the Imports Department of their Logistics Division. After graduation, he will be starting his career at Walgreen Co. in the Financial Development Rotational Program at the corporate headquarters in Deerfield, IL.
Danielle Masanoff '11 completed a triple major in supply chain management, marketing management, and entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises. During the summer of 2009 Danielle interned at Petrified Forest National Park for the National Park Service in Petrified Forest, AZ. In the summer of 2010 she interned at Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Kodiak, AK. She accepted a full time position with Lockheed Martin in their Operations Leadership Development Program. Before she joins Lockheed at the end of the summer, Danielle will be traveling throughout Nepal hiking Everest Base Camp and participating in other adventure outdoor activities.
Katie McCusker '11 completed a double major in marketing and supply chain management, and a minor in psychology. She interned with Unilever in their Customer Development department for two summers. She accepted a full time position with Unilever Charlotte, NC as part of their Customer Development Retail Program. This is rotational program involves six months in the field visiting customers (grocery stores), helping to implement promotions, making sure products are on the shelves, etc., and then six months in the office in an entry level sales analyst position.
Anchal Mirza '11 completed a double major in supply chain management and marketing. She studied abroad in Hong Kong to further gain an international perspective on business. David Seon ’11 completed a major in supply chain management. David’s experience includes a co-op with Johnson & Johnson his fall semester of 2010 where he was the inbound logistics and distribution co-op. David was responsible for the distribution of finished goods from 22 external manufacturing sites and served as the inbound logistics lead for three Zyrtec launches. David also participated in G.E.’s Leadership at Work seminar his spring semester of 2011. David co-oped with J&J a second time fall 2011 as their Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, & Replenishment co-op on J&J’s Walgreen's customer facing team. David was responsible for managing the Aveeno & Neutrogena sun care line within Walgreen's network. David has accepted a full time offer with Johnson & Johnson’s Global Operations Leadership Development Program. Daniel's expertise includes business analysis, design, project management, and implementation of enterprise transportation management systems (TMS) empowering companies to consolidate and optimize freight movements across modes. Daniel's implementation experience includes RedPrairie / McHugh Software (employee for four years), Logility, i2 Freightmatrix, and MicroAnalytics TruckStops. Daniel worked for Mark VII Worldwide Logistics (now part of the largest global 3PL Exel) designing solutions for Frito-Lay and Exxon Mobil. Daniel currently works in Dallas for Glazer's Wholesalers, one of the nation's largest marketers of wine, beer, and spirits. At PRTM, he is involved in various operational and strategy consulting projects in pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
Venika Gupta '08 MBA completed her concentration in supply chain management. She worked as a co-op with Bristol-Myers Squibb during spring and summer of 2008 where she was part of North America Logistics Planning Group. After graduation, she accepted a full time offer with Cummins Inc at Belgium as Process Improvement Leader. He earned a mechanical engineering master degree in Seoul, Korea before his MBA degree. Qazi S. Kabir '09 MBA completed a concentration in supply chain management. He worked as an intern with Crouse-Hinds Division of Cooper Industries during summer 2008. Jehal Shah '10 MBA completed his concentration in supply chain management. During the summer of 2009 he interned at Larsen & Toubro Limited in India where he analyzed the expansion opportunities for L&T overseas from a supply chain perspective. At school he took part in Dahlman Rose & Company Global Transportation Conference and competed along with two other students at a case competition organized by Rutgers Business School. He actively took part in the International Week activities organized at Syracuse University. Currently he is working as Quantitative Analyst in the Operations Performance team at National Grid.
Sarang Deshpande '11 MBA completed a dual concentration in supply chain management and marketing. During the summer of 2010 he interned at Motorola in Chicago where he focused on quality improvement processes. At Whitman he took part in Dahlman Rose & Company Global Transportation Conference. He and a classmate worked on a process improvement project at Upstate University Hospital. They received the Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship for their work. He and three other Whitman students won first place at a case competition organized by Rutgers Business School.
