The Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises is passionately committed to entrepreneurship as a life philosophy. Entrepreneurship faculty and administrators believe in total student immersion. Whitman students involved with the entrepreneurship program are exposed to all facets of entrepreneurship through a comprehensive, 24-course curriculum built around experiential learning. Outside the classroom, through the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship, students engage in an innovative mix of outreach programs, including:
Students are encouraged to build a comprehensive entrepreneurship portfolio by the time they graduate, including:
- writing a business plan
- completing a consulting project with a small firm
- developing a business model
- designing marketing inventions
- doing an entrepreneurial audit
